I just got the directors cut of Kingdom of Heaven and if you liked the original you should definitely check out the DC. It opens with an interview with Ridley Scott where he explains that this is what he intended the movie to be, he explained how a large portion of the story he was trying to tell was cut do to time constraints. It adds 40 extra minutes of footage that fills in many of the gaps in the theatrical release. The character development and back story is much more clearly defined in this new edition. It’s out on Bluray and as a 2 disc Dvd set. Definitely worth re-watching!
