This is my hardware setup:
MB GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H
AMD|A64 X2 4850E 2.5G
2GB 6400 RAM
HAUPPAUGE|1128 HVR-1800
I’ve installed the following software in this exact order:
Clean install of Vista x32 then SP1
TV Pack 2008, play ready, KB950754, KB951685
Install latest driver for 1800 from Hauppauge website (cd 4.6) through device manager.
Install drivers for motherboard, also latest from Gigabyte website.
Run windows update and install all recommended.
When I watch OTA HD, the picture is smooth and clear. When I switch to a satellite channel, I get random pixelation. I know it’s not the signal because I could watch the same channel in another room (STB hook straight to TV) without pixelation. Here’s what I’m referring to:
