      I am planning to build an HTPC as the first step to a home media upgrade. We have an older DLP that will be replaced some time next year. We’ve dropped DirectTV – going to try free channels only, along with internet streaming.

      Any recommendation on an OTA tuner? Will that tuner serve to convert digital to analog until we upgrade the TV?

        I figured this out – have included the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 Dual in my build.

          Before installing a Ceton Cable TV card I used Silicondust HDHomerun and was really happy with it.

          Added bonus was I could access the tuners anywhere on my network and watch TV
