See, I think everyone is burying the lead on this story. IMHO the real news here is…

This is how compromises work: consumers give up a little in the form of an reasonable window of time for Studios to increase video sales and in return studio’s give consumers a better selection of streaming content. Sounds perfectly reasonable to me.
Besides, how may people were actually getting popular new releases in the first week or two from Netflix anyway?
