Dual hyrbid (NTSC, ATSC, QAM 64, QAM 256) tuners and includes component video input! Now, the site doesn’t say what TV formats the component input captures, but earlier KWorld tuners captured at 480i/480p. Even if, let’s say, it captures only at up to 480p, that’s still better than other tuner products which use composite and S-video (which can only capture at 480i). So, with MCE or VMC controlling and capturing from a settop box, at least this card offers better video capturing for subscription digital cable and satellite!
It would have been nice if it included IR blaster, but I have yet to see any manufacturer make the “perfect” product. Oh well. Also, it looks like it has yet to trickle its way into the U.S. market. I wonder what it will be priced and its ETA….
