    Equipment list:
3.5mm Jack to 2 RCA (phono)
    Auzentech prelude x-fi
    cable tv box
    Vista 32 bit

    Instructions:
    Step 1
I plugged the rca the the red and white audio out on the cable box.

    Step 2
I plugged the 3.5mm part of the rca cable to the x-fi Auxillary in.

    Step 3
In the cable box setting I set to it Dolby digital only.

In the Vista Audio properties: Control Panel, Sound, Playback, I set Spdif to default, and enable Speakers.

In the Auzentech Console Launcher. I set to the Entertainment mode.
In the Encoder tab I check dts connect, dts neo is not checked.
In the Mixer tab I enabled Auxillary, Midi syncth, spdif in, digital in.

On the z-5500 I use Analog.

I did this so I could use the equalizer from the sound card since the sound conncted from the cable box to the speakers gave a harsh sound.
Here is my other prelude settings.
They aren’t nessessary, but I think it makes the sound nice. 🙂
