1. You don’t have to manually trigger the wireless sync, if it’s left plugged into a dock for 10 minutes without any user activity it will automatically start a wireless sync.

    2. You already have your scheduled auto-wireless sync wish.  It will continue to auto-sync every 10 minutes while it’s docked.  If you have a podcast that downloads late in the night it will get sync’d without you needing to do anything.

    3. It will show up as connected in your Zune software when wirelessly connected, so even though it’s docked in another room you can still drag & drop content to it that’s not in your normal sync plan.

    4. You do not need the Zune software on the machine with the TV, you just need to share that folder so the computer that you want the Zune software on can see it, then you simply add it as a ‘Monitored folder’ in the Zune settings.

    5. For podcasts the ones I always come back to are:

    BBC Newspod http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=res&cd=2&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.bbc.co.uk%2Fradio%2Fpodcasts%2Fnewspod%2F&ei=HRbPR9j4DqjiiAH48cFf&usg=AFQjCNGy_m1gw1S4WlYofNt3AImGhbRHCA&sig2=18xQd9vxECp-r0sufpN0xg

    If you’re a developer, Hanselminutes http://www.hanselminutes.com/

As for finding new ones I find the Zune Marketplace Podcasts section actually very useful.  It’s free and built into your Zune software already so I’d definitely give it a go.
