I ordered the Xbox-360 HD DvD drive which should be here tomorrow and plan to use it for HD-DvD playback via my HTPC. I am currently using a Geforce 8500gt hooked up to my 32″ Vizio vx32L using VGA.
The paperwork for my TV says the HDMI port only supports resolutions up to 800×600 which is why I am using VGA. As I have been reading about the new DRM that HD-DVD uses I am confused. Will using VGA (analog) out be a problem? Is a digital connection supporting HDCP required?
