This does seem to be almost brain dead obvious, so I’m sure our friends at Microsoft have thought of it as well. I’m guessing so have the lawyers and various RIAA cronies. DRM has limited our lives in many ways and I’m betting somehow this is another such example. In so many ways, the client/server model is a perfect fit for the HTPC community. I know it has been an excellent solution in my home with MythTV. It would be a shame to see MCE fail in this regard.
