I [s]hate[/s] have Time Warner cable.
I just looked out my kitchen window this morning and saw an AT&T lineman dangling from the utility pole stringing some lovely fiber optics. Hopefully it won’t be long now before the U-Verse IPTV becomes available in my neighborhood.
Which brings me to my point…is anyone currently using the U-Verse service (especially with MCE)? Right now, I’m stringing cable directly from the wall to my tuners to tune and capture analog. It appears IPTV works a little more like satellite in that you need to have separate STBs for each tuner/capture device.
Admittedly, I’m still researching this technology, but I’d be interested in hearing whether those who have it prefer it over cable or vice versa.
