I finally got HIP to control SageTV and it works great. All the buttons do what they should now. But HIP is supposed to be able to control many different programs. Whenever I try to add PowerDVD to control, it doesn’t work. The arrow keys on the MCE remote work and the Enter button works. So I have some very basic control over PowerDVD, but I can’t Skip/FF/Rew/Stop/etc. This is the same problem I had with SageTV before I got HIP to work. I’m using the remote with IRTrans. I thought it would be easy to set up PowerDVD…just do the same thing I did when setting up SageTV, but that didn’t work. Any one have any experience?
