Someone resinattled their O.S to fix a video streaming issue. That’s hardcore. I had to go onto the Netflix site and remove all the devices that were authorized to get it to work. I think that each time I run Netflix on my Android it creates a new device.

Is it safe to upgrade firmware without having to backup the system and what if they are in a RAID 0 array?

Newegg is now offering this deal today. $100 Newegg gift card instead of Amazon credit, of course. Also a bonus item is included: Newegg t-shirt!

I like the Amazon App Store.  There  is a new free App every day.

I went to download the app of the day and it directed me to amazon to add credit card info, so I bailed. What is the scam with asking for credit card info?

Nothing HTPC related these days. I’ve tinkered in the past with a Utorrent app to start my downloads and also gmote and remote potato but I rarely have the need to schedule a new recording.

Otherwise I play wordsmith, wordfeud or Words with Friend (Can’t stand that one but it is cross platform).

GPS Test Plus is my speedometer for the boat.

My Cast Weather is my forecast application for Beautiful Widgets.

              JeFit Pro for handling workouts.

Google Music Beta to access all the music I have on my homeserver.

              Netflix.

I am also usually installing a new ROM every couple weeks. Everyday lately since all the developers are working on the 3.0 sense. My Current ROM is Kings Alliance r6.3.

Another handy app is the WiFi Analyzer. I’ve helped many people improve drop outs and poor performance with that app to determine the best channel to run their wireless on.

I’ve gotten by with ATSC for the past few years and the cheapest cable package so the kids could access their TOON and NICK. Along with Netflix it has been pretty good. IF I really want to see a show I don’t have access to I get the torrent but that is like 5 percent of my viewing.

So they give you the card presynched to their systems. I’ve always driven directly to Comcast and swapped my gear at their shop and then hooked it up at home and made a phone call and read of the numbers on the device. Has that step been overcome? I am debating on getting a CETON to put in my WHS 2011 and want the least hassle as possible.

I need to see what is going to happen with the MS IPTV on the 360 at E3 before I go down the cable card road. But I’ll most likely be picking up a CETON or SD unit by the end of summer.

                      Two questions.

How simple is it to put it in WHS 2011 and share the tuners out via the network.

And will it run in a PCIe 16 slot?

I looked at the S5 images and they look just like an HD-Plex case. Jsut remember to keep the width to the standard size of a high end audio unit. The front of my HD-Plex cases keeps it from going into my rack because it is almost 2 inches too wide.

I submitted a survey and did not receive a confirmation. I only saw the one case, is there one that can take more than 1 full height cards?

Edit: I figured it out I needed the client CD. That update catalog is little hokey. After doing the install I had to download 900+ meg of updates

Below are the numbers from 2010 for the Kingston 64.

                                Kingston SSDNow V Series SNV425-S2/64GB

                                200/110

                                3/16 – 139.00

                                5/20 – 137.99

So the price has been cut by a little more than half in the last year and the speeds on the drive posted are 230/180. A little quicker for the value drive than the model from last year.

                                  Michael,

Can you post how to reset BD moves to be played with the arcsoft player. I think this is what is causing my system to freeze my system when playing a BD launched from My Movies as opposed to launching TMT 5 from the start menu and browing to a folder.

                                  Thx.
