I found this 24inch LCD monitor with an HD tuner + remote : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824001280

I suppose this amounts to a high resolution TV, right?

I’ve been casually looking at getting a smallish LCD TV for the bedroom (24-32 inch). I also used to have a secondary monitor hooked up to my HTPC so that I could use the computer while watching TV on my 50 inch display, or have sage on the monitor while watching something else on the 50 inch screen. Worked well when sports conflicted with grey’s anatomy and I didn’t care about sound that much. The big downside to the old setup was that the monitor was just that. This thing, or any HDTV has the advantage of having extra inputs and also a tuner so that sage could be running on the big screen and cablebox or even QAM/ATSC could be on the smaller 24 inch screen. Dumb? not sure, but I’d like to get my second screen back at some point because I miss it.

As for the bedroom TV, this would work well when combined with Sage extender (see my other post about this one). I may need a receiver + speakers to make the sound anything worthwhile which is my biggest concern here, but only because of the WAF.
