So with the recent black friday/cyber monday deals, I picked up 4 1.5TB drives to start moving to a client/server architecture with the idea of purchasing either nettops or the sage extenders going forward.
I know that Unraid uses parity so all data in the system is proteted from a drive failure which is why I think I’m leaning towards using it because the thought of havin to rerip my collection again is something I’d like to avoid. So those of you using WHS, what are some of the software benefits it provides which made you choose it instead of using Unraid or another server product? NOTE: I’m currently using SageTV and don’t see myself switching to WMC given the lack of options for both hardware and software extenders.
