I bulit a mini-ITX PC – Intel Core i3-530 with Gigabyte MB using the Intel on chip graphics – and am trying to playback some TV my HTPC recorded last season.  It’s on local hard drive of the mini-pc.  IT was recorded on SageTV 6 over the air HDTV (Smallville).  The mini-ITX pc has windows 7 x64 loaded.  When I play it back in Media Center – i get a stutter/pause every 5-10 seconds or so.

It plays ok in VLC (except one episode – so far – has no sound but has sound in Media Center).

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Mike

What version of the Intel HD graphics do you have installed?

      #27984

      It says Driver Version: 8.15.10.2182

There’s a newer driver revision, you could try that but it should work perfectly w/ 2182.  What MPEG2 decoder + renderer are you using?

How do I find that out?

Sorry, saw that you’d recorded in Sage but missed the part about watching it in Media Center (which uses the MS decoder and EVR renderer).

Do you have the MEI driver installed?  Do the files play decently on other PCs (isolating a recording error)?

How do I know if I have the MEI driver installed?

I’ve got the same issue on my laptop (core i5, win7 home premium), driver version 8.15.10.1986

You can check the install folder.

            x86-32: C:Program FilesIntelIntel(R) Management Engine Interface
            x86-64: C:Program Files (x86)IntelIntel(R) Management Engine Interface

Ok – not installed – where do I get it?

Will that like work for both my laptop (H57 chipset) and mini-pc (gigabyte H55 board)?

                It should.

                it didn’t seem to make a difference…

Is there a setting or something I need to turn on?
