Does anyone know of a way (3rd party, registry hack, etc.) to get a windowed… ummm… window (i.e.  not a full screen window) to open across two monitors?  In my case, I want a program with 3 vertical panes to open with the first and second pane on one monitor, but the third pane on my second monitor.  Windows is set up to extend the screen to the 2nd monitor, but no matter what I do, the program always opens in only the first monitor.

I’m running UltraMon, but that doesn’t handle this scenario.

Here’s the basic idea of how I want it to open:

    Anyone have any ideas?

Damn.  I was really hoping someone knew a way.  🙁  Oh well.  Maybe in Windows 10.

Over the weekend I can write an app to open the program this way if you want.

Seriously?!?!  😮  Don’t you have enough projects going on?  As much as I’d appreciate it, don’t go out of your way for this.

It is only a few lines of code to set a Window’s position so it won’t be a problem if you do want it.

PCMag has published a utility for doing it as well but it isn’t free, very cheap though: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2339650,00.asp.  I have not tested it.
