Not sure if anyone here beat me to it by reporting this here, but I came upon a company that’s making HD video capturing equipment that works with both Vista and XP Media Center! Prices range between $100 and $200 and come in multiple varieties. Here’s how it works…

Connect your HD cable settop box using the analog component video outputs, like with Hauppauge’s HD-PVR. But instead of connecting these capture devices directly to your HTPC with USB as the HD-PVR has it, you connect it via LAN to your router like is the set-up with the HD Home Run dual external turners. And like the HD-PVR, it includes an IR Blaster to control your cable box. Unlike the HD-DVR, it works with Media Center using a virtual tuner driver and it’s priced $100 less!

I just ordered one. I will report back after I get it and test it out. It’s by a company called Hava. Their website address is http://www.myhava.com.
