I don’t know if i am putting this in the right area i did not see anywhere else to put it
I am planning on building a system just for HTPC…i will be using moslty existing hardware such as amd 6000 x2 4 gig ram MSI MB Plenty of HD space and a ati x1950 video card connected to a samsung 46″ 120hz HDTV…
What i would like to know is what OS i should use..im willing to go linux or vista ….also i really want to use a remote..I am planing on getting a high end harmony remote but i do not know how i would hook it up so the HTPC can see it.
I mainly will be watching HD movies in .mkv format .avi files. and Blueray movies from the PC
any help would be apreciated and sorry if this is in the wrong spot
