I just built a new HTPC, thanks to lots of help from you folks, and I’ve got two Hauppauge HVR-2250s (dual tuners), which supports ClearQAM. I got the latest 6.4.x version of SageTV, and I’ve been able to set up the normal analog cable channels, but when it scans for Digital channels it can’t find any. Specifically, it can’t tune the HD versions of the major networks.
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong, or if my local Time Warner provider (in Columbia, SC), just isn’t sending out any ClearQAM. Is there any way to find out?
As a corollary — would I just be better off getting an OTA HD antenna and using that? Since I have two of the dual tuners, I could just use one of them for OTA and the other for cable. What do y’all think?
