      Hey all,

      I know people have some strong opinions about this.  I’m about to set up a new HTPC (with the new Intel G45 mATX mobo, 4GB RAM, 2 Hauppauge dual-tuners, want to use it for SageTV w/SD cable and clearQAM, some movie watching, and web surfing), and I want the most stable environment possible.  I was happy with XP SP2 for years and years.  Now SP3 is out, and Vista is supposedly more mature, and I don’t know what to do. 

      One follow-up — I’ve never used XP 64bit — is there any difference that people have seen in terms of stability compared with XP 32bit?  Any gotchas I should look out for?  Driver issues?  Will this mobo even work with XP 32-bit (I’ve heard that some new ones don’t)?
