Actually I’m not sure I’m that interested in individual hardware reviews. There are plenty on the net. Stability, usability & configuration is the difficult information to find. It’s the little details that reviews gloss over that cause the frustration. For example a selection of the current problems with my setup:
– The IR control disconnects on S3 sleep.
– Netflix “watch now” fails on installing its DRM.
– My Sapphire graphics card has fan control disabled in hardware.
– The computer will go to sleep while playing internet radio
This is after solving many other problems after much forum mining. I would be really interested if you provided a few highly detailed, tested, reference systems, including assembly, installation, setup, which drivers you had installed. I don’t think you can really recommend a build, such as back on 4/28, unless you actually build, use, and fully check out the system.
Such information would be different, and incredibly useful. It’s only taken a few inconsistencies and failures to put off my significant other.
