I did a reinstall of Windows 7 on my HTPC the other day and could not get any guide info during the setup for the tuners. I thought it was a fluke but after trying everything I did a search. It seems that Microsoft has changed who it gets its guide info from, and it’s causing problems for a lot of people. I noticed when it did my ATSC tuners that it searched differently than it had in the past but didn’t pay much mind. Also, it did not list my digital channels that I receive that are on VHF. I had to add them manually and after that it worked. It’s like the scan doesn’t show what your tuners CAN receive; it shows what the guide BELIEVES you can receive for your area.
Anyone else noticed this or heard about switching guides?
