They've been viewed at least 5-6 times, and work fine for me.

Nice setup.

No pics in view for me either, via IE or FF.

Yup, no pics. It doesn't help that the link to the pic isn't a complete link:

Links work for me.

Looks like a nice setup!  What speakers do you have?

This really has me confused.  I looked at the code he used, as well, and it's precisely what Crim posted.  How are people seeing images if the link is bad?  Perhaps they were good initially and people still have them cached in their browser?

The code posted is not what people are seeing.  Log off and back on and you should see the photos which are attachments to the post.

I've noticed Missing Remote has a few cookie based bugs that cause logged on users to be limited to anonymous user rights.

thats odd.  I was looking at the page not logged in and as soon as I logged in I could see the pictures.

In FF, I cleared my browser's cache and cookies, as well as logged out and back in and restarting the browser, yet I still don't see the pics.

In IE8, I see a red "x" where there's supposed to be an image.  I also did the same clearing and logging out/in with the same results.

Attachments are not viewable by anonymous (not logged on) users.  What made it confusing is the BBCODE w/ the invalid link to the images, I'm not sure if that was an attempt to make the attachments viewable.  That image will never be viewable but below the post you should see attachments.  Very odd that you don't.

Here are the links to the photos.  Do you get an error when trying to view them?

It is a permissions issue with viewing attachments.  Either a Joomla cookie bug or per user account, not sure which (yet).

It's not based on the anonymous cookie bug you mentioned earlier. This happens to me sometimes with writing articles and a log off/on solves the problem. I tried that and I can create new articles, but I still get an access permission error when following the links.

Good call on splitting the thread.  This does look to be a different though similar issue.

we're working on the issue, but no guarantees for anything super quick. sorry folks. In the meantime, I'm more than willing to host anyone's pictures for thread posts in the hopes that those embed links will work...worth a shot at least.
