MissingRemote.com Re-Launch Giveaway #7 - GlideTV Navigator

Dec 01 2010

GlideTV NavigatorWelcome to prize number slevin...errr....I mean Seven!! I wish that movie had been more popular, then you would all be laughing right now.

But I digress...you all want free stuff in celebration of this beautiful new website yes?? Well ask and we shall deliver!

Up next in our contest giveaways we have, courtesy of the generous folks at GlideTV, the GlideTV Navigator. If this sounds familiar, well it should be for you loyal readers! We reviewed this awesome little guy a while ago yet it still stands quite alone in its class.

Per our review: "Finally, you can actually use the device right away without having to install a single thing. The remote works off of universal control device shortcuts for a lot of the tasks which makes using it a snap. I found myself switching between my laptop and my HTPC during some of my testing as I had a variety of online content on the laptop but didn't feel like holding it."

GlideTV Navigator

GlideTV has continued to evolve their software, and it is significantly improved versus what was in the review, but the product itself still rocks!

Logitech air and Sony mce remote

Logitech gyro.

I use my laptop and VNC, currently.

I still use my trusty Gyration remote. Sometimes, I'll use the Microsoft MCE remote I got with the IR receiver I installed in the box... but only when in Media Center. I use 3 xboxes as extenders, and they just use the xbox media remotes...

A wired mouse sadly enough. I'm definitely shopping.

A keyboard with a long cable and built in ball mouse....

a small wireless keyboard with a built-in trackpad.  too big, not terribly elegant...  Smile

Gyration remote

a keyboard with a ball mouse wireless so not horrible but not great

Strictly a WMC remote for the most part. Definitely wouldn't mind having this. It would make working with some apps a lot easier.

Harmony remote and a Lenovo N5901 little keyboard/trackball doo-dad

A Harmony 300 and a mini keyboard/trackpad using RF.

I use a mini keyboard and track ball combo that JennyFur wrote up a few years ago.  The track ball on it however has become a bit no bueno...

Lenovo Mini Wireless Keyboard

I have a few HTPC client machines.  Several run with the firefly mini remote, one with a firefly and one with the ATI Remote Wonder II and an ATI Remote Wonder I.  I also have some no name brand wireless keyboard with built in mouse (joystick).   All except the minis are RF.

Logitech Harmony 720

Can I be eligible for this?  I'm a remote\keyboard\mouse fanatic--love trying out new ones.

I use a Universal Remote R50, wireless mouse, and have a Brando Rii coming for Christmas.

Logitech 670 and Microsoft Media Center Keyboard.

low-end phillips universal remote being read by a ebay'd HP IR receiver, being controlled by intelliremote.

I also have an older rf nmedia keyboard/trackball combo for when I am playing around with the htpc and the intelliremote iphone app for when I need to do something quick in 7mc and am too lazy to get up and get the keyboard.

Logitech DiNovo Mini

I have an iPod touch running HippoRemote and/or a Harmony 650.

Marantz RC 8500 SR.   Even stuck with it after retiring the Marantz AMP.

Some Logitech notebook mouse.  Sucks!

USB keyboard and Mouse - not the greatest setup but it works.

I use a Dell/Gyration M2010 remote with air mouse

Microsoft Wireless Bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo

Logitech Harmoney 700.

Im back to a wired keyboard for now after my RF Keyboard died last week.

The crappy Windows remote that came with it!  I need this new device!!!  Smile

I use a Gyration remote on my main HTPC and a Gyration air mouse on the secondary one.

Wired mouse on a looong cord.

Wireless keyboard with a trackball

I have two, the lenovo remote thing with the track ball and keypad, then my standard Xbox remote (Microsoft standard issue)

Logitech Harmony 700

Microsoft Original bluetooth mouse.

I use the Firefly remote to navigate.

Would love to have this for my second HTPC.

Old Gyration for pointing only, iO Gear keyboard w/mini trackball for multi-function.

P.S. - The #HoustonWinMeet was great last night, even though I didn't win any of the really cool stuff....
