Where is option F? Search *.nzb Quickest and Easiest

More times than not, to BDMV, and MKV otherwise.

Why not ISO then? Because it adds in one extra step in the playback chain that's unneeded.

No ripping here. We don't rewatch movies enough anymore to spend the time.

I like BDMV because it works so well with the Popcorn Hour and my SageTVHD 300.  My workflow is:   AnyDVDHD---->Clown BD---->BDMV structure (select main movie and HD audio track with embeded legacy codec)---->Enjoy

I was going to purchase DVDFAB after the trial period, but couldn't join the forums (?user limit) so I continue to use ClownBD.

I just purchased a Boxee Box so I will see if my above method works.

Are you playing MKVs back in Windows 7 in media center?

If so, how?

I use ISO because it just works. I tried folders and either MyMovies or TMT5 had issues with BDMV folders and would lock up my system. If there was an app as easy as CloneDVD to create MKV files I'd be all over it.

To get MKVs to play I think I installed a codec pack (Shark maybe), and they show up in my folders now. Except last night I had true blood mkv that the sound stopped working on my HTPC and I had to watch it on my gaming machine with VLC.

Probably the easiest method to gain MKV support in 7MC is to install Haali splitter.

I think this is what you're looking for.

Remultiplex into BDMV using ClownBD to remove the extras and Re-encode the audio tracks to Dolby Digital.  My HD200 won't decode the DTS audio so it's handy to have the DD track for my bedroom.  Back to back analysis of the audio hasn't shown any audible degradation of quality doing this.  I'm sure there is some, so I leave DTS in some videos since my main HT can decode DTS, but for 95% of my viewing I watch the re-encoded DD at 640K bitrate.

I don't rip them.

+1 for not ripping.  Though I'm beginning to think it might be easier than getting my daughter to put the disks away when she's done with them...

Amen to that... The whole reason I built my HTPC was to save my movie collection from the kids... Now its a monster, netflix, hdtv, dvd library, and I'm still honing my Blu-ray rip n compress set up. It'll get there... No prefered format yet but likely an M2TS container.
