Blockbuster to Mail Out-of-Stock Rentals Directly to Consumer

Raise your hand if you think this is in direct response to the biggest complaint of Netflix--their queue system for new releases and the dreaded "Very Long Wait." Kudos to Blockbuster for finally thinking of a unique way that makes sense to integrate their online capabilities with their nation wide chain stores.

"With Direct Access, we're no longer confined to the square footage of our stores, which typically carry between 3,000 to 5,000 titles. So now our customers can leave the store satisfied, knowing that if they can't find what they want in store, they can find it in their mailbox."
