It most certainly did! I just wanted to send out some myself :-)!

Here is a link for an updated dll, it checks a registry key for existing connections:

I didn't really understand it too much myself...noimp explains it in his blog post, but I couldn't really get the jist of what he was saying...anyways, he has discovered the patch necessary for 64bit...file has been patched and is available here:
http://demayo.hopto.org/downloads/termsrv64.dll

Thanks!

Awsome update about the Vista Home Premium hack!
Once I found out that Home Premium didn't have RDP I thought that was the dumbest thing I ever heard. MCE 2005 had RDP, so why should its' direct successor all of a sudden not have it? For an MCE box RDP is pretty darn useful.

Now I can feel a bit better whenever I decide get Vista Home Premium (the itch to play with Vista is getting to me...)

it's in step 1, where it says "if you're on Vista Home Premium..."

and to import a registry file, just double click the .reg file

Some reason I can't login at all anymore remotely. Vista Ultimate here. I'll keep trying to get it to work.

I think it's cool that you've managed to add this feature, but you won’t fine me modifying a system DLL on my machine.  I want to make sure all the service packs and security updates install correctly on my machine, especially in something as important as Remote Desktop.  See the following blog post for more information on modifying system files.

Hi,

I can't download the dll file from the following link
http://demayo.hopto.org/downloads/termsrv.dll

I only got error 404 - File or Directory not found.

Has it moved?

I'm able to download the package for Home Premium with dll, reg-file and bat-file, but I'm running Vista Ultimate.

Can I use the dll from the HP package or is it different version?

Regards,

John

Yes, I have tried just clicking as well as right click and then save target.... and it is still not working.

I'm using IE ver. 6

Could someone please email me the dll file? Using Vista Ultimate I only need the dll, not the bat and reg files, right?

navjo is correct in saying that the link is down. It was also down 24 hours ago too.. The only reason I decided to install vista was for the work of everyone here (and to play!).. Hopefully its back online soon or a new link can be provided (rapidshare perhaps?)

Cheers!
