Personally I’m not sure what to think of this.

Amusing but clever.

That reminds me of the time I came to work and found someone had managed to cut through the security cable and had all the other cables unplugged trying to steal a laptop from an exam room. The only thing that prevented their successful ripoff was the extra-heavy-duty Velcro holding the laptop to the wall-mount stand. PWN3D!!

That's cute! I'd want one if the cord was shorter.

It'd be a huge engineering mistake if any of those wires were actually attached to anything inside the USB connector.  I think you could safely mangle the cord closer to the connector.  We build HTPC's - I think we could shorten a cord...  Tongue

Dude...  How old IS this FusionHDTV3 ???

Haha... true, I've already modded a usb cable before back when I had a 16x2 LCD display on my case that I was using in a baybus. The display was serial, and I'd long since lost legacy ports like that so I modded it to have an internal USB to serial connection.

But like... that takes effort. Boooo for effort! I WANT MY INSTANT GRATIFICATION.

You could probably trim it with no harm done.

Never seen a prepackaged one before.  Evil Mad Scientist showed how to make your own a couple months ago.  For people willing to put a little effort into it
