optical drive and Case compatibility

Is there an easy way to tell if this optical drive:

would fit well with this HTPC case?

I like that case, and it fulfills all of my needs, but for some reason it seems to me that the size of the hold for the CD/DVD drive is too small.  Am I crazy?

yup, you're crazy Tongue

Actually, the LC10 line of cases use the metal plate cover for the DVD-rom, but it does use a standard one. The metal has doublesided tape to connect to the DVD tray.

We use an older version of that Case for Mrs. Sheen's HTPC - it's plenty big for whatever you need to get in it...  Like Mike said, any standard 5.25" CD/DVD/Blu-ray will fit.  Only the disc tray comes out thru the faceplate of the case.  And there's a "bezel" that covers the face of the drive tray and matches the look of the Aluminum front of the case.  The bezel attaches to the face of the drive tray with double-sided tape.

It looks like they changed the design a LOT since we bought ours.  I never liked (or used) the 60mm rear fans.  I modded the left side of the case to add a 120mm exhaust fan.  Now they've moved the PSU to the other side of the case (swapped the PSU and motherboard positions), have different side venting, and now use 80mm rear fans.  Much better than ours...  I've always liked it - but then, I'm sort of a "minimalist".

Dude...  How old IS this FusionHDTV3 ???
