this isn't a sale, Zygmunt has actually reached out to me, and is looking for the community's feedback on some future chassis.

I personally like them, but a silver case won't fit in on my rack. That being said, i like the E7T...while no direct need for a screen, i still think it's awful awesome.

The ITX7 just looks masssssive

Hi Guys

I presented silver chassis because silver looks better on the picture (more details) than black.
Color available: Black (of course) silver and maybe golden.
Option without screen possible.  Everything depends on feedback.
ITX7 is a mini one.  Dimensions: ~9.5x10x4"
Here are interior of three of them

I don't see it either so I'm guessing it is an attachment (we both have that issue  ;D)

In this thread, I see no pictures at all.  Sorry.  I even went so far as to edit your posts and I still see no images inserted or attached.  If you want, PM me and I'll give you my personal email address, so that I can upload the pictures to MR's servers and insert them in your posts.

I like them all (well maybe not the one with the color screen as much) especially the E5 and E6V; very slick.  Black is a must, no silver AV components here Smile

I like them in the order they are listed. But the bottom one has to much empty space, maybe some slots for ventilation for something to fill the void would help. Make them curvy.

I am having trouble opening the pictures also but I would expect them to be standard rack size unless they were specifically built for a small mitx factor.

And there is something strange about the doors on the bottom right. It doesn't look right not having them up a little with some case beteen the bottom of the door and the bottom of the case. How come no one makes a cover like the XBOX, where each port has a little flap that folds in when you hook the cord up and then flips down when not in use.

I really like the first one though but the last time I looked slot load BD drives were 3-4x the cost of a full size drive.

Forgot to comment on the cooling options - very nice cross flow design.

Do they have built in IR?

very nice cases I like the E6.  I do like the openness on the inside, leaves lots of room for cable management

I love the E5 and E6V.  The E6V reminds me of the OrigenAE case, but this is better.  I would definitely suggest offering different colors - anodized black comes to mind.

Are these going to be offered for sale?

Good luck

There is anodized aluminum in silver and black.  Also considered golden, but I am not sure that there is a market in the USA for such color.

After reading positive answers here and in AVS Forum, it is very likely.  Probably in January 2011.

Does the E6V's VFLD have a plugin for WMC7??

Yes.  This is Soundgraph VFD working with iMON remote.
According to specs I have, It is similar to VFD use by OrigenAE.

I tested eV and e7T.
VFD display in e6 is smaller than in Origen chassis.  Characters are green; 6.4x3.3mm.
Two lines, 16 characters per line.
Yes it works with WIN7 MC.

I added more pictures.  There will be some improvements to chassis you see on the pictures, like bigger ventilation openings and some construction changes to the body.
Any interest in golden color?
I thing that only black and silver will be popular in the USA.

The case needs to match the other A/V components, so I don't think there would be much demand for a gold colored case (never seen a gold AVR).

Definitely agree with Andy.  I can't imagine a gold color doing well in the US.  I remember seeing quite a few gold AVRs in Singapore and Malaysia but I think that market is fairly limited to Southeast Asia.

I'd take a look at a glossy white case. To match my Wii and XBOX. I think white and silver hide dust better.

The lids look interesting. Are they held down by those cam locks? I wonder if a felt gasket on the bottom of the lids would be needed for vibration.

There are magnets keeping lid in place.  However lids goes down if chassis is turned upside down.
I already asked for stronger magnets.

If I followed correctly (e6V and e7T), they already do cover them with a door.  I think the question was whether they should offer another model without the door.

I love my Antec and think it would be pretty plain on the front without the ports, even if they were concealed by a door.  Plus, if there was a door, then my keyboard receiver would require that the door be permanently open.  What do others do with their kb receivers?  Does anyone run a USB extension cable from the back to the front and hide the receiver at the front edge?

Looking over the cases which would be similar to my Antec Fusion, I had a few thoughts.  What size fans are being used in these?  Are they quality, quiet fans, like Nexus?  Also, what are you doing for noise isolation for hard drives and to keep vibration of the case itself to a minimum?

80mm in e6 and e7, 60mm in e5 and eHD10.
There are quiet but to answer your question I should compare both fans in the same conditions.
For isolation - rubber.  I added some pictures to show it.

I like the hard drive mount.  Will you have something similar for the DVD drive?

Definitely test multiple fans.  For reference, most people use SilentPCReview to figure out what fan to buy.  They even have a nice list breaking them down.  You may notice that there are no 60mm fans listed.  This is due to the difficulty in finding any quiet 60mm fans on the market.  With how nice all your cases are, they beg to be "shown off", rather than hidden away.  If they're loud, this won't be possible, though.

With the shorter cases, you obviously can't use 80mm fans, but what might be better is more fans spinning at slower speeds.  The eHD10 really comes to mind here.  I'm no expert on airflow, but I think the design might need some tweaking.  With 10 hard drives in there, it's going to get warm.  I don't know the direction of the 4 fans being shown, but I have trouble believing all drives are going to receive airflow from the fans.  Just my opinion here.

Have you used them long?  I've tried 4 different models and they are extremely quiet...for about a month and then the high pitched whine starts.  I've had several that lasted 6 months but thats it.  I even RMA'd a few thinking it could be a bad batch and but same outcome.

I have had 4 or 5 of their 60/80mm fans (using a 60 and an 80 in my main box right now).  Usually have to replace them after ~18 months so not quite as hardy as some other vendors, but acceptable considering the CFM @dba.

It looks like the 24 pin power connector on many boards will end up underneath the optical drive tray, so moving it further under the tray may be an issue.

So there's plenty of space above the connector for the cable to bend w/o torquing the board?

Evaluate it yourself, please.  I always bend cables before inserting 24 pin plug in MoBo anyway.

I can't tell from the pictures if it would be a concern (which is why I asked).  It's a common issue with small LP cases; easy enough to fix with an 24 pin extension with very flexible wires.  Maybe you could sell one as an optional accessory?

Hi Guys

Like many of you, I am tired of blue color almost everywhere. I like to change blue color of power ring to green or white (when ON).
What is your opinion? Who wants blue, who green and who white?

Green when on, blinking white when in sleep and off when the PC is off. And none of these should be bright and I think it should have the ability to be disabled.

My Antec Fusion has a white LED for power.  While I do like it, it's far too bright.  Green or blue would be nice, again, as long as they aren't super bright.  When you look at them straight on (or any angle), they should not be blinding.  Some sort of filter should be in place to diffuse the light.  Additionally, if the room is completely dark, the LED shouldn't light up a 6 foot section in front of the case or illuminate the couch across the room.  ;D

I think you mentioned that the VFD had green text earlier.  So as long as the shades of green are the same I think green is a fine color - just don't make it too bright.

The one on the left it is new design, testing market. No ODD.
On the right - with passive cooling - it will be in the USA in the fall.
