Imminent Ceton Echo beta

I am salivating at the thought of the Echo! Over on Engadget they mentioned an upcoming beta:

"Speaking of potential users -- all those interested in this hardware should keep an eye out as we're told that the plan is to have a beta for theDTS-compatible Echo extender "soon", likely within a few weeks"

Well, I think they should hook up a couple missing remote faithfuls to put these awesome extenders through their paces. How about it Hammer and company?

Is the Echo going to be a Media Center Extender for a Win7 HTPC?  I'm unclear hear.

Yes. Thanks Aaron. To elaborate there will also be a standalone media hub/DVR called the Ceton Q based on MCE that could replace Or negate the need for a HTPC. It will use MCE Embeded and offer additional functionality over a standard WIN7 HTPC. Check here for beta info and a link to a video intro:
