How do I use the remote that came with my OrigenAE X11 case?

I've installed the IRTrans software and drivers and the VFD seems to be working great (it displays info about stuff that I'm playing in Windows Media Player).  Now, how do I use this remote?

In Windows, it seems that the arrow buttons and the big "OK" button work as arrow keys and enter, respectively.  Nothing else works though.

I installed the Girder trial and had it detect all of the buttons on my remote, but I still can't control WMP.  I can now adjust the system volume though.

When I install software like SageTV, the arrow buttons and the OK button seem to execute twice (it seems that Window and SageTV are both detecting the button presses at the same time).  This forces me to navigate the SageTV menus two lines at a time.

I'm running WinXP Pro (not MCE).  Thanks in advance.
