Has anyone used Tiger Direct?

Hey Guys and Gals,
I am curious about an online vendor. (Tiger Direct) I have never used them before, and I wanted to know if you guys  had any experience(Drunk with them? Any large purchases? Do they carry a bad rep that I am unaware of? Thanks for the heads up!

Cheers!

I never used them because either; NewEgg, ZipZoomFly, MWave, or Amazon are always cheaper.

TD is $2 cheaper in this case, but they offer an 30 day Unconditional return policy and Newegg only offers a 30day limited Non-refundable policy. The return policy is more my concern as opposed to price.

I've never used them online, but I have found the occasional deal at one of their outlet stores here in the Chicago area.  In fact my TV came from TD, it was a refurb but had a good return policy and the extended warranty was very reasonable and covered dead pixels.

Sorry that I can't comment on their shipping or anything though.

I can't stand the mother-frackers.  I used to buy from them then got into it with customer service.  I bought some RAM for my computer.  The listing said the RAM was 100% compatible with other types, it wasn't.  I tried to post a negative comment about the RAM.  It never appeared.  I called customer service and they said they "reserved the right" to post whatever comments they see fit.  And, I don't know if it's true, but I heard you can only mark an item on a scale from 3-5, not 1-5.  Plus, they wouldn't refund the memory as it tested "OK" when I returned it a second time.

Reseller Ratings has them at a 9.1 over the last 6 months, but a 7.1 lifetime... Newegg of course has a 9.76 lifetime (Wow!) and a 9.9 6 month rap.

After hearing another person has had issue with them, I can't say my faith has been renewed in TD just yet.

Thanks for the info timrob!

Any better experiences out there?

Cheers!

Never mind, they just jacked up the price by $50. Thanks all for your help.

I have also heard bad things about thier customer service.  I have ordered a couple things from them, and never had a problem, but I've also never had to return anything either.  Like Lowtech says, you can find most stuff either cheaper or similar prices at other places, and those other places have great service.  I try to avoid TD whenever possible.
