nice article, lots of screenshots.

So, can someone brief us on the latest available "multi-channel LPCM output" motherboards?  Is it only available thru HDMI and are some HDMI outputs incapable?

switched to a PS3-BD Remote, and now IT is missing!!!

Nvidia 8300 & 9X00 and Intel G35 & G45 based motherboards are multi-channel LPCM enabled. 

Both the 780G and 785G AMD chipsets are stereo limited.

HDMI is the easiest way with the best AVR support, but it is also possible to use analog connections to pass multi-channel audio to an AVR.
