The specs do not say if it is QAM capable or not nor was I able to track down if anyone has reviewed this product yet
From a cursory examination, it is essentially a F5 RT Gold that has undergone the natural evolution to the newer PCIe interface. Aside from the obvious bridge difference, I do not know whether the new A/V Decoder (Conexant cx2388y, where y equals any of 5 to 8, and in this case is 5) has any significant logic improvements, for ADC, over its PCI predecessors (cx2388x, where x equals any of 1 to 4, and was 3 in respect to the older F5G products).
DC has it listed for pre-order, at $199, with an eta of mid month. That's a terrible highway robbery/price gouge for just an interface change.
