[H]ardocp has really stepped it up a notch over the last while. I really enjoy their systems evaluations. Once we get into the OEM Media Center reviews, I would like to do a similar format.

That'd be awesome.  Without a doubt, [H] does some of the best reviews I have ever seen.  Their system reviews are second to none and their game reviews are one of a kind.  I'd love to see some HTPC-related reviews that follow a similar objective:  What's the end-user going to experience with this product?

You have to have fairly big pockets to do that type of work. Since each one of these units are purchased. I am sure they are sold through ebay or some other place afterwards, nevertheless, the risk for a smaller site is pretty significant. We will likely do systems eval in the near future but they will be provided by the company. However, I hope to provide end user experience evaluations by the end of the year.

I'm glad to see HardOCP getting better. I mean back around 2000 when overclocking and modding was a big deal it was a great place to hang out. After that they kinda lost their sense of humor, took themselves too seriously and became really, really dry. TomsHG and Anand are a little better on the technical side so I rarely head to [H] any more.

Tom's hardware makes me laugh with some of the stuff they come up with, but every now & then they got some good stuff. I like [H], but their forums are awful, just full of trolls & kids

Actually, I've read quite a bit about their reviews and they don't actually keep the systems they review.  Every system review they do has a pre-existing arrangement with that company stating that they are allowed to call up on any random day and order any system with any configuration, never stating who they are.  They get the system, review it, then send it back to the company for a full refund.

Obviously, they have a lot of pull to be able to do this and I don't expect you guys to be able to duplicate it, but anything you could do would be great.
