CoreAAC Professional v2.0 Audio Decoder Released!

With 7 shipping pretty good AVC/AAC DirectShow and Media Foundation decoders I'm not sure there's much market except for XP/Vista users who don't know about MPC-HC or ffdshow...

I agree.  All I can think of is ACELP or AMR audio support which the native decoder does not handle.  But even that is really limited to mobile devices.  I am inquiring with the CoreAVC team.

Not surprisingly it doesn't appear to add anything for W7 users though am I still waiting on an official list of profiles and subtypes supported.

For Vista\XP users I prefer CoreAAC over ffdshow filter but if you need HD audio bitstreaming then doesn't really matter, you'll need ffdshow regardless.

It is a shame though, CoreAVC v1 was a big step up for H264 decoding for XP\Vista.  I'd like to see something from CoreCodecs that is in the same level.
