For some reason, the links got abbreviated (http://www.extremetech.com/article2...,2094678,00.asp) and it doesn't work when I click on it. Can you update with the right links?

I have correct links in my news posting

So if AMD is providing onboard HDMI graphics and onboard HD Audio, do you think they'll make it so that the audio can/will be routed through the HDMI port? Will motherboard manufacturers have the option of including an SPDIF output still?

Assuming the manufacturers are smart (uh oh), they will. Receivers with HDMI are still somewhat rare, so there are quite a few people using HDMI for video and optical or coaxial for audio.

Here's Abit's version.
They include an optical spdif port it sounds like. Their specs don't say anything about audio through the HDMI port...
So who wants to get me one for review?
;)

If only it had a coaxial optical jack as well. I never know which way I'm going to hook things up, so I can't limit my options. I also wish it had those "armor plated" capacitors. These might be good, too, but those look pretty cool on the mobo!
Sounds like you should contact Abit for a review board, Lothar! Isn't that how it works around here and why you're getting paid the big bucks?

Release date is suppose to be 2/27 - 3/5 and it should be price around $130. I plan on picking one up but for a C2D gaming rig.
