As mentioned above, each user is eligible for up to 3 entries into this contest. Every prize will have its own prize definitions, so make sure to check the rules!
Entries will be accepted from 12:01AM PDT on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 through 11:59AM PDT on Friday, December 9, 2010. Winner will be selected by December 16, 2010.
- This contest is unfortunately only available to US residents in one of the 50 states. Sorry to our international readers, but we are looking into expanding our prize packages in the future.
- You are only allowed to enter using each method once. Multiple entries will disqualify you.
- Must be a registered user to be eligible to win (remember, if you are entering additional entries when applicable via Twitter/Facebook you must mention your MissingRemote username in that entry)
- Editors and staff, and associated family of staff are not eligible to win

My laptop that acts as a HTPC runs OS X.
My desktop runs windows.
My future HTPC will run XBMC Live (minimal ubuntu distro).
My HTPC is Windows 7, but I could really use a dual-boot for my laptop which only runs linux right now.
I'm planning to build my first HTPC and signed up on this site to learn just how best to do this. Sounds like I need Windows 7...my laptop uses XP PRO.
Using Windows 7 on the main HTPC. Got Linux running on some of the other boxes.

im all windows 7. my htpc and desktop have professional (which is considered above home premium in the lineup and contains wmc) and my laptop has home premium. XP was a fine OS, but nowadays when i have to use an XP computer its disappointing.

I run Windows 7 Home Premium for my HTPC OS and Windows 7 Media Center for my main UI. If I could get all my TV legally without a TV tuner, I wouldn't need W7MC's DVR capabilities and would probably just run XBMC, probably still on top of Windows 7 HP.
