This contest has Ended! Thanks everyone for participating!!!
Hopefully everyone is enjoying the new site design as much as we are, as well as our first prize yesterday of Arcsoft’s Total Media Theatre. That contest has ended, but worry not we have LOTS of PRIZES still available!!
Today’s prize is a fantastic media streamer courtesy of Patriot Memory, the Patriot Box Office HD player. We reviewed this little guy earlier this year and found it to be a very solid and capable player with an MSRP of $99--read below for instructions on how to win!
And in case you missed it, Patriot has continued to innovate since our review! The product has been renamed to the PBO Core and it includes a wealth of new features via their new firmware.
Patriot Memory, a global pioneer in high-performance memory, NAND flash, storage and enthusiast computer products, today announced a refresh of their High-Definition media player product line. The Patriot Box Office has undergone a series of changes adding improved functionality, an enhanced user interface, new product packaging and a new product name. Box Office is now named PBO Core: a name inspired by the legions of devoted fans and active forum participants who often discuss the product under the name “PBO”, short for Patriot Box Office.PBO Core has an enhanced User Interface which is more visually pleasing, while also proving to be easier to use and navigate. Functionality has been enhanced with the addition of Internet Media Services (IMS), greater compatibility with HDTV’s, ability to play data from external optical USB devices and album artwork during audio playback. The addition of IMS provides a variety of streaming and internet enabled services such as video RSS feeds, streaming podcasts, online photo albums, live stock info, weather, news and more! I tend to store my movies in their actual DVD format, having the whole thing copied to the hard drive so I have access to the extra features and I put the DVDs themselves away.
DVD in native format, bluray in MKV
90% of mine are mkv's. The remaining are iso's.
I use ISO format to store movies.
I tend to store all my movies in .wtv format.
after letting anydvd strip out all the trailer crap I just copy the disk's contents into a folder. its the simplest and storage is cheap enough that I am not going to worry about it.
WTV
MKV or M2TS
I may not be eligible, but I only use MKVs. Good luck to everyone who enters, since this looks like a nice prize!
I store my bluerays as iso's and my dvd's as dvd folders. For the most part....
I tend to use mp4 and ISO formats.
I go MKV, fits my needs across platforms
MKV or M2TS
MKV
MKV
mp4, only because storing as an iso would take too much space right know. This will change in the future.
MVK here
I store DVD's as iso or mpg, and Blu-ray rips are compressed and left as m2ts files.
Video_TS Folders w/VOB files.
I use .iso and play them through Windows MCE
.ISO for BD and for DVD I use CloneDVD to pull just the movie into a folder.
I keep mine on physical DVDs. (I know, I know...)
mp4
I store movies primarily in .mkv. Some I have in _TS folders
ISO for me
I use ISO format to store movies.
I don't rip a lot of movies. Those that I have are in the DVD folder/VOB structure. Movies recorded from TV or acquired elsewhere are pretty much left as is.
I save almost all them in iso for the ones I plan to watch on an xbox I transfer them to dvr-ms
Mkv
I store movie in mp4 or iso format.
mkv
mkv
mkv
mkv mostly.
MKV!
I store mine in their original Disc format. I don't copy them all over to my HD.
I just keep them in blu-ray directory structure.
MKVs
It may be a bit old school, but I still use DVRMS, since it plays well on my Media Cetner extenders, and I really like having access to them around the house.
These days MP4 but I still have some older files in DivX(3.x).
iso
99.5% .M2ts
00.5% .Mkv
Its all about HD, no more Dvd's for me
I store nearly all my videos in mkv format
I store mine in the original DVD format.
Mkv or avi
100% video_ts for DVD rips and bmdv rips for blurays.
I try to save everything in MKV since its so flexible in managing audio and subtitles.
I store all my DVD and BluRay Rips in full fidelity as ISO files.I play them back through 7MC with MyMovies and TMT3.
Sadly, VOB format, I need a bigger hard drive now or convert the VOB's into a smaller format.
mostly mkv sometimes also mp4 for my kid
